Karen J. Intinarelli

Karen Joy (Coleman) Intinarelli, 73, a longtime Upton resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at her home after living a selfless and joyful life with friends and family.  She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Paul J. Intinarelli. 

Born in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Sherwood and Estelle (Thompson) Coleman.  She was raised and educated in Natick and was a graduate of Natick High School.  She then attended Kenneth’s Beauty School.

After marrying Paul, they then built their home in Upton.  Karen was the owner of the Country girls Hair Care for over 20 years.

Karen was a giving member of the Upton community serving on the Advisory Committee of Blackstone Valley Tech of Upton, The Disability Commission, The Council of Aging and The Affordable Housing Board of Upton. She was also a member of the Upton Bloomer Girls and The Red Hat Society.  As a dedicated member of the Community Covenant Church of Hopkinton, she was an ever present volunteer for all their outreach programs and church functions. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Mitchell Intinarelli, Marnie Foley, and Sabrina Tiru and her husband Joel, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, and her brother, Arthur Coleman and his wife Barrie.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM, on Tuesday, May 14, at the Community Covenant Church, 2 West Elm Street, Hopkinton.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton.

Calling hours are Monday, May 13, from 4 to 8 PM at the Community Covenant Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home of Upton.
